Tragus vs. Cartilage Piercing! Which hurts more?

Cartilage and tragus piercing are somewhat unusual and less popular practices; however the trend is gradually catching pace, and is expected to turn trendier in coming years. The very reason why these offbeat conventions are yet not popular could be the pain, felt while getting the tragus and cartilage pierced.

Here in the post, we will share the views shared by some people about their tragus and cartilage piercing experience. In the later notes of the post, we will be making a few suggestions to bear in mind, when going for any of these piercings.
A number of people, who chose to go for cartilage and tragus piercing, both, assert that the former is a less painful procedure. Morgan Quinn, from US, answers a question, asked by a user on Yahoo Answers. The question was ‘How bad does it hurt on a scale of 1-10; where 10 being most painful?’ At this, Quinn writes, ‘One’ for Cartilage, and ‘Seven’ for Tragus.

Morgan Quinn also explained why she gave 7 to tragus on 1-10 scale of pain. She wrote that the healing process of tragus piercing is more painful. Many other people, who had had tragus piercing, supported the statements of Morgan. She along with others asserted that cartilage piercing is a less painful procedure, and most of them gave it 1 to 2 points on the pain scale.

She also recommended that getting pierced with a puncturing gun could bring infections. “It seems impractical to disinfect the gun. Needle is safer.” She also suggested the asker to visit a nearby piercing shop, and never to attempt it at home.
